Robert Bosch Power Tools GmbH (hereinafter "Power Tools" or "We" or "Us") welcomes you to our internet pages and mobile applications (together also referred to as “Online Offers”). We thank you for your interest in our company and our products.


1. Power Tools respects your privacy

The protection of your privacy throughout the course of processing personal data as well as the security of all business data is an important concern to us. We process personal data that were gathered during your visit of our Online Offer confidentially and only in accordance with statutory regulations.

3. Collection, processing and usage of personal data

3.1 Processed categories of data

The following categories of data are processed:

•    Communication data (e.g. name, telephone, e-mail, address, IP address)
•    Contractual master data (e.g. contractual relationships, contractual or pro-duct interest)
•    Client history
•    Planning and regulation data

3.2 Principles

Personal data consists of all information related to an identified or identifiable natural person, this includes, e.g. names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, contractual master data, contract accounting and payment data, which is an expression of a person's identity.

We collect, process and use personal data (including IP addresses) only when there is either a statutory legal basis to do so or if you have given your consent to the processing or use of personal data concerning this matter, e.g. by means of registration.

3.3 Processing purposes and legal basis

We as well as the service providers commissioned by us; process your personal data for the following processing purposes:

–    Provision of these Online Offers and fulfillment of a contract under our contractual term (Legal basis: Fulfillment of a contract).

–    Resolving service disruptions as well as for security reasons (Legal basis: Fulfillment of our legal obligations within the scope of data security and legitimate interest in resolving service disruptions as well as in the protection of our offers).

–    Safeguarding and defending our rights (Legal basis: Justified interest on our part for the safeguarding and defending our rights).

3.4 Registration

If you wish to use or get access to benefits requiring to enter into the fulfillment of a contract, we request your registration. With your registration we collect personal data necessary for entering into the fulfillment of the contract (e.g. first name, last name, date of birth, email address, if applicable, details on the preferred payment method or on the account holder) as well as further data on voluntary basis, if applicable. Mandatory information is marked with an *.

After you have successfully registered yourself, it is necessary to supplement your profile by indicating:

–    Serial number of your Bosch Indego

–    SingleKeyID (SKID)

In order to connect your Bosch Indego with the Mobile Application, you have to enter the Serial Number of your Bosch Indego and your SKID. Throughout this, a connection between your Bosch Indego and the Mobile Application is made. We will merge your SKID with Bosch Services you use with your SKID.

3.5 Registration via the central SingleKeyID

You may register for our online offers [exclusively] using the central SingleKeyID. SingleKey ID was developed by Bosch.IO GmbH for the Bosch Group to provide users with an overarching login option on Bosch websites, stores, apps and services. Bosch.IO GmbH, Ullsteinstrasse 128, 12109 Berlin, Germany, is responsible for providing SingleKey ID.

Bosch.IO GmbH processes your data for the purposes of "registration and login with SingleKey ID", as well as "overview and maintenance of master data and apps with SingleKey ID" under joint responsibility with us. After one-time registration you can use SingleKey ID to log in. For this purpose you will be redirected to a login mask of Bosch.IO GmbH. After successful authentication, Bosch.IO GmbH will provide us with the required personal data (e.g. e-mail address, telephone number, first name, last name, language, country). Your password will not be transmitted to us.

You can terminate your SingleKey ID user contract at any time on the SingleKey ID website by deleting your SingleKey ID: https://singlekey-id.com/myprofile/. Please note that by deleting your SingleKey ID you will lose access to all Bosch websites, stores, apps and services where you have logged in with SingleKey ID.

3.6 Use of Amazon Alexa

You have the option of controlling your Smart Gardening products via Amazon Alexa voice commands. To do so, you have to connect your Smart Gardening products to Amazon Alexa. If you control your Smart Home product via Alexa, you may have to transmit personal data via Amazon to your Smart Gardening product and vice-versa.
If you give voice commands to Amazon Alexa in order to control Smart Gardening products or retrieve information from your Smart Gardening product, voice data are transmitted to Amazon and used by Amazon to perform the service. The following data/information is transferred to Amazon: your login information and your password as well as the status of your device (mowing/pause/docking). These data may be personal data. By connecting your Amazon Alexa and Bosch accounts and by activating skills, (a) you consent that the Smart Gardening product installed on your system is to be controlled via Amazon Alexa and that information is to be output via Amazon Alexa and (b) you instruct us to exchange data with Amazon Alexa in this context. You and Amazon are responsible for the data processing that is entailed. The data processing performed by Amazon is subject to Amazon's usage and privacy protection terms. 3.7 Use of Google Assistant or Google Home

You have the option of controlling your Smart Gardening products via Google Assistant or Google Home voice commands. To do so, you have to connect your Smart Gardening products to Google Assistant or Google Home. If you control your Smart Gardening product via Google Assistant or Google Home, you may have to transmit personal data via Google to your Smart Gardening product and vice-versa.
If you give voice commands to Google Assistant or Google Home in order to control Smart Gardening products or retrieve information from your Smart Gardening product, voice data are transmitted to Google and used by Google to perform the service. The following data/information is passed on to Google: Your login information and your password as well as the status of your device (mowing/pause/docking).These data may be personal data. By connecting your Google Assistant or Google Home and Bosch accounts and by using Google Actions, (a) you consent that the Smart Gardening product installed on your system is to be controlled via Google Assistant or Google Home and that information is to be output via Google Assistant or Google Home and (b) you instruct us to exchange data with Google Assistant or Google Home in this context. You and Google are responsible for the data processing that is entailed. The data processing performed by Google is subject to Google's usage and privacy protection terms. 3.8 Children

This Online Offer is not meant for children under 16 years of age.

3.9 Service providers (general)

We involve external service providers with tasks such as sales and marketing services, contract management, payment handling, programming, data hosting and hotline services. We have chosen those service providers carefully and monitor them on a regular basis, especially regarding their diligent handling of and protection of the data that they store. All service providers are obliged to maintain confidentiality and to comply with the statutory provisions. Service providers may also be other Bosch group companies.

3.10 Transfer to recipient outside the EEA

We might transfer personal data to recipients located outside the EEA into so-called third countries. In such cases, prior to the transfer we ensure that either the data recipient provides an appropriate level of data protection or that you have consented to the transfer.
You are entitled to receive an overview of third country recipients and a copy of the specifically agreed-provisions securing an appropriate level of data protection. For this purpose, please use the statements made in the Contact section.

3.11 Duration of storage, retention periods

Principally, we store your data for as long as it is necessary to render our Online Offers and connected services or for as long as we have a legitimate interest in storing the data (e.g. we might still have a legitimate interest in postal mail marketing after fulfillment of our contractual obligations). In all other cases we delete your personal data with the exception of data we are obliged to store for the fulfillment of legal obligations (e.g. due to retention periods under the tax and commercial codes we are obliged to have documents such as con-tracts and invoices available for a certain period of time).


4. Usage of our mobile applications

In addition to our Online Offers, we offer mobile applications ("Apps"), which you can download to your mobile device. Beyond the data collected on websites, we collect additional personal data through our apps that specifically result from the usage of a mobile device. This is subject to your prior consent.

4.1 Data processing by App Store operators

We do not collect data, and it is beyond our responsibility, when data, such as username, email address and individual device identifier are transferred to an app store (e.g., Google Play by Google, App Store by Apple, Galaxy Apps Store by Samsung) when downloading the respective application. We are unable to influence this data collection and further processing by the App Store as controller.


5. Social Sign In (login via social networks)

We offer you the possibility to sign into our Online Offer through so-called social sign ins such as Facebook Connect and Twitter.

To register, you are forwarded to the respective social network's page where you can sign in with your local data. This means that your account with the respective network is linked to our service. In doing so, information from your public profile, your email address and the identification tags of your network friends, as well as, if applicable, further data is transmitted to us through the affected social network.

In return, the social network used for the registration receives your login status, browser information and your IP address. The social network's provider or its server may be located outside the EU or the EEA (e.g., in the United States).

If you do not want a data transfer between us and the social network services, log in via our own log in services instead of with a social log in service


6. YouTube plugins

Our Online Offers use the YouTube video platform which is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave. San Bruno, CA 94066, USA („YouTube”). YouTube is a platform which al-lows the playback of audio and video files.
When you access a respective site of our Online Offers that contains an embedded YouTube player, this creates a connection to YouTube so that the video or audio file can be transmitted and played back. In doing so, data is transferred to YouTube as a data controller. We are not responsible for the processing of such data by YouTube.

7. Security

Our employees and the companies providing services on our behalf, are obliged to confidentiality and to compliance with the applicable data protection laws.

We take all necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure an appropriate level of security and to protect your data that are administrated by us especially from the risks of unintended or unlawful destruction, manipulation, loss, change or unauthorized disclosure or unauthorized access. Our security measures are, pursuant to technological progress, constantly being improved.

Right to information and access

You have the right to obtain confirmation from us about whether or not your personal data is being processed, and, if this is the case, access to your personal data.

Right to correction and deletion

You have the right to obtain the rectification of inaccurate personal data.  As far as statutory requirements are fulfilled, you have the right to obtain the completion or deletion of your data.  
This does not apply to data which is necessary for billing or accounting purposes or which is subject to a statutory retention period. If access to such data is not required, however, its processing is restricted (see below).

Restriction of processing

As far as statutory requirements are fulfilled you have the right to demand for restriction of the processing of your data.

Data portability

As far as statutory requirements are fulfilled you may request to receive data that you have pro-vided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or – if technically feasible –that we transfer those data to a third party.

Withdrawal of consent

If you have granted us your consent to process your data, you can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of the processing of your data will remain unaffected by this up to the point at which your consent is withdrawn.
