All Bosch power tools, pneumatic tools, measuring instruments and garden tools are checked and tested with the greatest care and are subject to the strict controls of Bosch Quality Assurance. Robert Bosch Power Tools 22 Kamal ElDin Hussien Sheraton Helipolis, Cairo, Egypt (hereinafter referred to as "Bosch" or "we") therefore grants a guarantee for power tools, pneumatic tools, measuring instruments, garden tools and all electrically operated products (hereinafter referred to as "Tools") in accordance with the following conditions. The buyer's warranty claims based on their sales contract with the seller, including their statutory rights, shall not be affected by this warranty.
1. We grant a one-year warranty for defects in the tool that are demonstrably due to a material or manufacturing defect during the warranty period, subject to the following provisions. For tools for professional or commercial use or subject to the same constraints, the warranty period is 12 months. The warranty period begins on the day of purchase by the end user. The date on the original proof of purchase shall be conclusive.
2. The warranty does not cover:
▪ Accessories;
▪ Demonstration Tools;
▪ Parts subject to wear resulting from normal use or natural wear and tear, as well as Tool defects due to wear and tear resulting from normal use or natural wear and tear.
▪ Defects or malfunction of the Tool resulting from non-observance of the operating instructions, improper use, abnormal environmental conditions, unsuitable operating conditions, overloading or lack of care or maintenance.
▪ Tool defects or malfunctions resulting from the use of accessories, Tool extensions or spare parts that are not original Bosch parts.
▪ Tools to which modifications or additions have been made as well as Tools that have been completely or partially disassembled as well as minor alterations to the external appearance that have no effect on the value and operability of the tool.
3. The warranty claim must be made before the end of the warranty period. To this end, the Tool in question must be handed in to the dealer or sent back to our service centre together with a copy of the original proof of purchase (receipt, invoice or certificate).
4. If you return the Tool yourself to the dealer or to a service centre, you will bear the transport costs and risks.
5. The remedy of the defect recognised by us as covered by the guarantee is either to repair the defective Tool free of charge or to replace the tool with a tool in perfect working order (if necessary, with a newer model), at our discretion. Replaced tools or parts become our property.
6. Our warranty only covers the claims for the repair of defects mentioned in these warranty conditions. For example, you cannot demand the provision of a replacement Tool for the duration of the repair.
7. The replacement or exchange of a Tool under warranty does not extend the original warranty period.
8. Any assignment of rights under this warranty is void. This warranty does not apply to Tools and products purchased second-hand.
9. This warranty applies to Tools purchased and used in Egypt.
This warranty is governed by German law to the exclusion of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence, which cannot be derogated from by agreement (principle of preference).
