What distinguishes the DLE 150 Connect from the DLE 150?
The DLE 150 Connect permits wireless and convenient data transfer of the measurement results on your PDA or Notebook. Thanks to the enclosed software,
the devices recognise the DLE 150 Connect and can receive
the values. Apart from this, the DLE
150 Connect is extremely user-friendly because it has the same technical
functions as the DLE 150.

Does the DLE 150 Connect always measure correctly?
Before each measurement, the DLE 150 Connect carries out a predefined control measurement (reference measurement in the device). A result is displayed only if this check measurement is correct. For this reason, the DLE 150 Connect always displays a correct result (within the range of the specified measurement accuracy), or no measurement result at all. The change-over for the
reference measurement is mechanical. This produces a clicking noise, which can be heard when the measurement button is pressed.

Does the DLE 150 Connect automatically recognise with which end piece the measurement is being carried out?
The DLE 150 Connect recognises automatically whether measurement is being carried out with the Compact or Universal end piece and adapts the measurement result accordingly. To exclude the possibility of errors during measurement, the DLE 150 Connect always measures from the rear edge of the tool.

Do dust, fog, rain, smoke or wind influence the measurement result?
Dust, fog, rain or smoke consist of many small particles, or droplets. When encountered by the laser beam, components of light, which can influence the measurement, are reflected to the tool. This makes reliable measurement impossible. Wind, on the other hand, does not
usually affect the measurement result.

What is the influence of sunlight / bright light?
Sunlight makes measurement with a laser rangefinder more difficult because the brightness of the ambient light becomes increasingly similar to the brightness of the laser point. In the case of bright ambient light, it is therefore advisable to use a target plate. The DLE 150 Connect, however, is so powerful that a target plate is not
required for the majority of applications.

Can I measure through water or glass?
A reliable measurement is not possible through water or glass because all boundary surfaces (e.g. water or glass surfaces) cut through by the laser beam always reflect some light to the tool.

Can I also use the DLE 150 Connect at low temperatures?
The DLE 150 Connect can also carry out measurements at low temperatures. As a rule, the tool can be used at temperatures between -10 °C and 50 °C. If used predominantly at temperatures below 0 °C, rechargeable NiCd or NiMH batteries should be used.

What does laser class 2 mean? Is the laser beam a danger to the eyes?
Devices in laser class 2 are classified as safe for the eyes. The normal eyelid closing reflex is sufficient to protect the eyes. All BOSCH measuring tools correspond to laser class 2.

Does the DLE 150 Connect have explosion protection?
In potentially explosive areas (e.g. oil refineries, chemical factories), work must only be carried out with devices that have explosion-proof certification. The DLE 150 Connect does not have this certification because the tool is not designed for such applications.
